The Head Net is a high-density polymer head covering designed to be worn underneath a helmet, hat, or other head covering. It comes with a washable headband that slips easily around the head for a comfortable fit. The Head Net is designed to employ anatomical knowledge and understanding to help mitigate the severity of blows to the head. Creating a rapid distribution of the force of the impact over the skull, utilizing a patented, light material that reconstitutes immediately, the Head Net helps dissipate the force to a lower peak for a longer period of time, which has been shown to help reduce impact severity. The Head Net's shock-absorbing design comes from studying the brain and skull of the woodpecker and longhorn sheep. Their skulls are designed to absorb and distribute impacts throughout the entire area of the head (360 degrees) rather than directly at the point of impact. The Head Net uses a patented square grid-like design based on these animals shock-absorbing anatomy.
